Breastoration

Supporting Women Through Breast Reconstruction Recovery

Facing breast cancer is a physical, emotional, and financial challenge. For many women, breast reconstruction can be a meaningful part of healing. While Breastoration does not pay for the cost of surgery itself, we help alleviate the everyday financial burdens that can stand in the way of moving forward.
As a program under the Cancer Association of Louisiana (CALA), Breastoration provides grants to assist with household and living expenses during the reconstructive process—helping women focus on recovery, not financial strain.

Barrier

Even when surgery is covered by insurance, the recovery period can lead to lost wages or added expenses, making it harder to pursue reconstruction.

Solution

We provide grants to eligible patients that help cover essential household needs during the recovery process or travel expenses to get to Louisiana for surgery.

Our Mission

Every woman should have the chance to feel whole again, regardless of financial situation.

Who Can Apply ?

We strive to lighten the financial load of recovery, allowing women to focus on healing and reclaiming a sense of wholeness.

1. Have reconstruction after a mastectomy as a result of a breast cancer diagnosis or a positive test for a genetic predisposition to breast cancer

2. Have reconstruction at a surgical center in Louisiana

3. Have financial hardships as a result of going through the reconstructive process

We believe every woman deserves confidence in her own body.

If you need assistance, don’t wait.
